If you could design your own laptop backpack, what key features would you include? Go all out and be creative. If you are going to be using this portable container to hold your valuable laptop computer, then you need to be satisfied that it will do everything that you want it to do. There are many backpacks on the market which are designed to hold a notebook computer. Obviously, this is a much needed item for nearly every college student, but in this day and age, just about everyone could really use one, from the corporate lawyer to the busy office worker.
Obviously, it should be large enough to hold a computer which is at least seventeen inches wide. It should have plenty of pockets of various sizes to hold all of the things that go along with a laptop computer, such as a power cord, mouse, software, and the list goes on and on. It should be of durable construction and material. If you are going to pay for quality, then it should last for years and years, right? Why don’t we say at least twenty years, that sounds about right. It should definitely be able to protect it’s valuable contents, so some kind of internal padding is in order, but you don’t want the padding to be too thick because you will need the space to store all your stuff. You want it to look good, of course, so it should come in different colors so as to give you a choice of style. Who wants a boring backpack? Maybe you want it to match your favorite jacket. Your backpack should have straps that are comfortably padded so that even when it is full to capacity, it is still untroubling to carry around.
You are probably going to be carrying it around a lot, so the comfort feature is a very important one. It should give you access to your computer with a zipper in the back so that you don’t have to open the main compartment to get the computer out. Sometimes you want to be able to get your laptop out in a hurry. And if you are out and about with your backpack and it suddenly starts to rain, a rain cover that can be pulled out and used to cover the backpack would come in very handy. Wow! That is a really great idea. If you fly a lot and have to take your laptop with you, a design that would allow you to zip open the backpack and lie it flat so that the computer can be inspected by airport security without having to take it out of the backpack would be very nice. Of course, they may make you take it out anyway, but if they don’t, the lie flat feature would be awesome. Adding a mesh pocket on the side of the backpack to hold your water bottle would be a very nice feature to have.
You know you are going to get thirsty while transporting your wonderfully designed container for your laptop computer. And oh yes, another pocket to hold your mp3 player that has a port for the headphone, you can’t forget about that. You have to be able to listen to your tunes, don’t you? Now, what have we left out? Loops for your pens and your keyring would be great. Staying organized when you are busy and on the go is a must.
